Jacksonville School is in a Flood Zone
This was clear and clean tap water that flooded the entrance to the school. There was no contaminated Black Water to deal with. The restrooms, located by the drinking fountains, had a problem with a busted water main. This occurred early afternoon; classes were already completed for the day. We used our truck mounted pump to rid most of the standing water from the tile floor and then used good old fashioned mops and buckets. The true brick walls sustained no lasting damage after we set up some evaporating equipment to finish the moisture issue. The hardness of the materials, our willingness to work into the night, and the final inspection before the opening bell, made the entire incident "Like it never even happened."
